To keep ea #ady functional and instructional text, the broad spectrum a wdiding processes should always reflect current industrial pactices. It was with this thought in mind that the revised adieion was undertaken. During recent years, there have been several exceedingly aportant developments in the field of welding. Particularly s#zeworthy are Tig (tungsten-inert gas) welding, Mig (metal- kvdert gas) welding and Electron Beam Welding. These pacesses are described in the new edition. Two additional auming processes- arc-air cutting and plasma cutting also are adiuded in this edition.
