The emphasis in this course has been placed ndamentals; the assumption has been that an understanding of th tal concepts would prepare the student for the many special applications which might encounter in his future research work. In order to provide adequate coverage of passive circuits, physical electronics, electronic circuits, fairly sophisticated mathematical methods were essential. er a period of years a presentation has evolved which entails a concentrated dy of operational methods as applied to passive networks. Many concepts such symptotic behavior of frequency responses, pulse response, and matrix analysis are fully developed in conjunction with the st sive circuits. Such concentration in rather obvious areas seems to li load later in the study of active circuits. three volumes presented under the title Fundamentals of El present the content of this course. In fact the material presented here has been tially expanded over that which could be conveniently presented in a two- ester course.
