เนื้อหาย่อ : PSpice for Basic Circuit Analysis introduces students to the fundamental uses of PSpice in support of basic circuit analysis. PSpice is a very powerful circuit simulation program that can assist a circuit designer in the process of solving multi-element circuits in a small amount of time. This book may be readily used to support basic circuit analysis courses and the textbook used for those courses. It contains detailed explanations and examples of the use of PSpice in typical problem solving situations. The book is designed so that the student may advance rapidly to solving circuit analyses problems typical of those contained in undergraduate electrical and computer engineering courses. Although we only use the very fundamental capabilities of PSpice, the principles can be easily extended to analyze the complex electrical and electronic networks used in modern integrated circuit design. One of the best ways to promote the appropriate use of computer-aided design tools like PSpice is to integrate their use directly into the basic fabric of the course. To encourage this integration, the topics and chapters of this book follow the typical ordering of many of the popular textbooks used in circuit analysis classes. Instructors will find it beneficial to encourage students to perform a mixture of analyses including solving a rich set of "'by-hand" problems as well as a set of problems that are solved using PSpice. Operational features of OrCAD Capture and the plotting program Probe are described in this book. Students can use this material to become proficient with the entry of circuit descriptions and the output of simulation results. We also discuss a method of entering circuit information in netlist format so that students can get a minimal understanding of one of the basic operations of PSpice. Examples shown throughout the book are based on the OrCAD software package PSpice version 9.2. However, the principles established in the book are applicable to many of the other versions of SPICE that are widely available both academically and commercially. A copy of the OrCAD PSpice 9.2 Demo CD is packaged with this book. Updates, newer demo versions, as well as commercial versions can be obtained at www.cadence.com/products/pspice/. Installing PSpice is fairly simple. If you have the PSpice disk in hand, place it in the CD-ROM drive and the automated installation process will guide you through the process. If the autorun program does not start up within a few seconds after you insert the CD, click on the Start button in the bottom left corner of your screen. Click on Run Type in the following command:
