เนื้อหาย่อ : This book is the outgrowth of two somewhat related requests. First, by those many friends of the author for whom several thousand answers are worked out each year by mail, phone or his office, and Second, from the many who have used the Datarule* including teachers, engineers, foremen, students and shop men who have asked that worked examples be given. In the first part of the book simple, single step, conversion blems are given--when a single change is made, vo frequency turns, etc., and a single result is wanted--ohms, volts, urns, etc. In the second part of the book combined changes are solved, the headings indicating the type of equipment and the change desired. A number of problems at the end of each section have the answers given, but no method of solution. These problems are ased on similar problems under the same heading. This enables the student to attempt to solve the problem without assistance, yet he can verify the method by checking a similar problem in the same group whose complete solution is given. Most problems pertain to equipment regardless of type of current, AC or DC, except of course, frequency changes, or 3 phase connection changes, etc. Where problems can only be applied to one type of equipment--as torque vs. voltage, for ample-a note is made to that effect under the heading. It should also be noted that the answers not only contain the mathematical solutions but also include information on reasons for the answers, or exceptions where the results may ot be used. *Datarule is a registered trademark.
