เนื้อหาย่อ : The approaches used in teaching an introductory data processing/computer science course y from institution to institution. However, from an overall point-of-view most can be placed in ei gories: the computers and society approach with a limited orientation to hardware and virtually no programming; or a general introduction to computer hardware and software, v with some degree of emphasis on programming. In recent years, the latter category has drifted more and m more away from details of hardware and more toward programming: specifically business applications. This is the category into which this book fits. The basic philosophy of this book is that a manager r will be bett d in relating to problems of the data processing department if s/he has had some actual exper perience (albeit limited) in writing programs. A data entry clerk will be better able to handle the job (and progress upward) if s/he has an insight into programming.
