เนื้อหาย่อ : Suggestions for Success in Algebra 1. Go to class, participate in the class discussions, and don't hesitate to ask questions. 2. Do all assigned homework, as soon as possible after class. Try each assigned problem on your own. If you need help, first check the text for similar examples. Once you have found an answer, check it with the answer in the back of the text. If you have difficulty, study the solution given here, then try to work the problem again without looking at the solution. 3. Use the answers in the texts and the solutions in this manual as guides. However, do not always try to work toward the answer in the back of the text. You should be able to do problems without looking at the answers. On a test (and in real life) you are seldom provided with the answers, so you cannot work toward them. 4. At the end of each chapter, work the Chapter Review exercises. These exercises provide an excellent review for a test. In areas of weakness, return to an appropriate section in the chapter for a refresher. 5. If you are still having difficulty, be sure to talk to your instructor and to use any tutorial help that is available to you. However, do not let a tutor do the work for you. 6. Take all tests and quizzes that the instructor gives. This manual contains solutions for all odd-numbered problems in the text exercises plus all problems in the Chapter Review exercises. The Chapter Review exercises are keyed to corresponding text sections.
